Matthew Announces the Release of Joyage
Accomplished producer and contemporary jazz artist Matthew A. Thomas is pleased to announce his fourth jazz album, Joyage, hitting the digital shelves on Friday, November 15th.
Joyage is a combination of the words "Joy" and "Voyage" -- two words that most describe Matthew's life experiences over the last two years.
From grieving the passing of his father and grandfather within weeks of each other to a health challenge to growing his family and finding new and amazing friends amidst a world of changes and challenges, Matthew's newest release includes eleven songs birthed through (or as a result of) these shaking moments.
Joyage includes Matthew's signature jazz piano and synth- laden production style backed by his gospel roots, love of hip- hop, and R&B styling.
The new project also includes more vocal features than any of Matthew's projects to date with guest appearances by Chattanooga- area vocalist Trey Suttles (Matthew's close childhood friend who has graciously appeared on nearly all of Matthew's projects), accomplished Nashville- based artist Kimberly Thomas (Matthew's sister- cousin who has sang background vocals for a wide array of gospel and Contemporary Christian Music artists), Christian Hip- Hop veteran Dre Murray (who has publicly announced 2024 as his last year as an emcee), and Christian Hip- Hop artist and engineer Andre "Stump" Culpepper.
Atlanta- area engineer Braddon Calloway mixed the project and it was mastered via Waves Audio.
No matter what life brings, may your faith grow, may you find reasons to laugh, and even in if you're in the middle of a storm, may your remember that the sun will shine again.
We present to you, Joyage -- arriving this Friday, November 15th!
